DoorDash fee for restaurants, by plan

DoorDash charges a restaurant 15%, 25%, or 30% on each delivery order, by plan, and 6% on pickup. This page lists each fee from DoorDash's own pricing page and prices it at three sales levels.

DoorDash pricing by plan

DoorDash takes a share of each order's subtotal. Its page lists no monthly, signup, or cancellation fee. The 15%, 25%, or 30% commission on delivery covers card processing, and pickup is 6% on every plan.

  • Basic: Delivery orders 15%, Pickup orders 6%
  • Plus: Delivery orders 25%, Pickup orders 6%
  • Premier: Delivery orders 30%, Pickup orders 6%
  • Plus and Premier start with a 0% intro rate for the first 30 days, and Basic for 7 days.
  • Online Ordering by DoorDash has no commission but carries a payment processing fee. The page does not state the amount.
  • A DoorDash order tablet costs $6 a week after the trial, and promotions and sponsored listings cost extra.

DoorDash cost on a month of sales

The delivery commission on $3,000, $6,000, or $12,000 of a month's sales, plan by plan.

Plan$3,000 a month$6,000 a month$12,000 a month
Basic, 15%$450$900$1,800
Plus, 25%$750$1,500$3,000
Premier, 30%$900$1,800$3,600
Appetier Growth, same sales ordered direct$246$129 Growth fee plus $117 card processing$433$199 Growth fee plus $234 card processing$667$199 Growth fee plus $468 card processing

Each column prices the same month of sales on both sides, at a $30 average order. It assumes every dollar sold here would be ordered direct instead, which will not happen in full. Treat it as a scale, not a forecast.

What the same sales cost direct on Appetier

Appetier Growth charges a flat monthly fee set by your direct sales. A month up to $500 is free, and the fee stops at $199 a location. Card processing is extra, at the standard online rate of 2.9% + 30¢ an order or your own processor's rate. No order carries a commission.

What Appetier does not do

Appetier does not take, route, or manage DoorDash orders, and it charges nothing on them. They stay in DoorDash's own tools, under your DoorDash plan. The point is to move your regulars onto your own ordering site, where the Growth fee applies instead. A marketplace can bring guests who would never find you otherwise, so keep it for that.

DoorDash fee questions

How much does DoorDash charge restaurants?
DoorDash charges 15% of the order subtotal on Basic, 25% on Plus, and 30% on Premier for delivery orders, and 6% for pickup on every plan. Its pricing page lists no monthly fee. We read it on October 23, 2026.
Does DoorDash charge a card processing fee on top?
On marketplace orders, DoorDash says the commission covers card processing. Orders through its Online Ordering product carry no commission but do carry a processing fee, and the page does not say how much.
Which DoorDash plan costs the least?
Basic has the lowest commission, at 15% on delivery. Plus and Premier cost more and, DoorDash says, reach more customers. Because the fee is a share of each order, it grows with your sales.
Does Appetier charge a fee on DoorDash orders?
No. Appetier does not receive or route DoorDash orders and charges nothing on them. Its Growth fee applies only to orders placed directly with your restaurant.
How do I pay DoorDash less commission?
A regular who orders on your own site pays no marketplace commission. On Appetier you pay the flat Growth fee and card processing instead. Whether that costs less depends on your sales mix, and DoorDash may bring guests you would not reach alone.
