Online ordering not working? Start here

Tell Sous what's wrong, or pick a topic. It answers from our help guide. If that doesn't fix it, open a ticket and a person replies by email.

The full Sous is in your console

What owners ask Sous most

The same answers as the chat, in one place.

Orders

Why is online ordering not working?

Open your ordering page on a phone. If it says you're closed, check that location's hours and whether orders are paused, since both are set per location in the console. If the menu loads but checkout fails, check your card processor's connection in the console.

Orders aren't reaching my kitchen

Look in the console's order queue first. If the orders are there but nothing prints, your POS connection has probably dropped, so check it in the console. Sous watches each connection and alerts your team when one goes down. Guests keep ordering from the last menu your POS sent.

DoorDash or Uber Eats orders are missing

Marketplace orders land in the same queue as direct orders and print in your POS. Is one marketplace quiet? Check that your store is open in that marketplace, then check its connection in the console.

Menu and prices

How do I change a price?

Ask Sous in the console for the new price, or edit the item yourself, then publish. Guests see it within about a minute. A location with its own price keeps it.

How do I mark a dish sold out?

Tell Sous in the console that a dish is out. It marks it sold out in your POS once an owner or admin approves with one tap. Sold-out items update on your storefront without publishing.

POS sync

Which POS systems work with Appetier?

Square, Shopify POS, Toast, Clover, Revel, and Micros connect, and prices, hours, and sold-out items update on their own. Connecting a POS is optional. You can run your menu from the console without one.

A change in my POS didn't come through

Most POS systems sync menus, prices, and orders both ways, and a few sync one way only. The console tells you which when you connect. If a change still hasn't arrived after a few minutes, check the POS connection in the console.

Account and billing

I can't sign in to the console

Sign in at the console with Google or with your email. We send a secure link, so there's no password to reset. Use the same email you signed up with, and check your spam folder for the link.

When am I charged?

Growth charges nothing up front. Saving your card moves no money. After the month closes, you get a statement and one charge. Direct orders pay 5% until the fee reaches $199 a month per location.

Can I keep my own card processor?

Yes. Checkout runs on your processor, one per brand, and your rates stay as they are. Guests type their card into the processor's own form, so card numbers never reach Appetier.

Sous

What can Sous do for me?

In the console, Sous answers questions from your own records and fills in forms for you to save. On its own, it writes menu descriptions, keeps your Google listing current, and answers reviews. You set how much it does without asking.

How do I stop Sous from changing things?

Have Sous check with you before each change, or pause it anytime from the console. Nothing Sous fills in saves until you tap Save or say yes, and Undo puts it back.
