Appetier + Adyen integration

What works

With your access: Open an Adyen merchant account through Adyen's sales team, then paste your merchant account, API key, and client key into the console. Appetier creates charges and reads payment status on your account.

On our own: Without Adyen, card checkout runs on Appetier Pay, and any processor works.

What it does

Takes card payments for direct orders on your Adyen account and marks each order paid once Adyen confirms it.

Restaurant groups in several countries that want one processor, not one per country.

Keep Adyen for direct orders

Appetier Pay is the simplest way to take cards, and there is nothing to connect. A restaurant that already runs on Adyen can keep it instead. That suits restaurant groups taking payments in more than one country under one contract. Payment methods stay your choice, because the form shows the ones you turned on in your Adyen Customer Area. Apple Pay or Google Pay appear only when Adyen's own form offers them.

Guests pay in Adyen's own form

The card form on your storefront comes from Adyen, so the number goes from the guest's phone or browser straight to Adyen. Appetier gets back a token and nothing else. An order counts as paid only after Adyen confirms the payment for that exact order. The kitchen works from orders Adyen has confirmed.

How Adyen prices a card payment

Adyen's public pricing page lists a fixed processing fee plus a fee set by the payment method. For Visa and Mastercard, that's $0.13 per transaction plus 0.60%. Add the card network's cost to that. It lists no setup, monthly, integration, or closure fees. A minimum invoice may apply depending on your industry, so ask Adyen before you sign. Appetier adds nothing on top. Refunds are issued from Adyen's Customer Area.

What you enter in the console

Three values from your Adyen Customer Area: your merchant account, an API key, and a client key. Pick sandbox for test runs, then live. The API key is stored encrypted and never shown again. Each brand takes cards through one processor, so choosing Adyen replaces any other.
