Direct Ordering
GloriaFood is shutting down: what to do before April 30, 2027
Oracle ends GloriaFood on April 30, 2027. Export your data now, then move to ordering with no commission and $0 under $500 a month.

Oracle shuts GloriaFood down on April 30, 2027
The GloriaFood sunset is dated on its own homepage, where the notice reads: "GloriaFood will reach end of life on April 30, 2027." It adds that Oracle does not offer a direct replacement for GloriaFood products and services. New signups are closed. After the shutdown, menus, order pages, order history, and customer data are gone unless you exported them. We read the notice on October 24, 2026. Check your own account email from Oracle for anything specific to your restaurant.
- The date is April 30, 2027, about six months from this article.
- Oracle says it offers no direct replacement for GloriaFood.
- Menus, order history, and customer data are yours to save before then.
GloriaFood export checklist: what to save before April 30, 2027
Open your GloriaFood admin and go screen by screen. Save a file wherever an export exists. Screenshot the rest, with the date in the file name. Keep every file in a folder you own, not behind a GloriaFood login.
- Menu: every item, price, modifier, and photo. Screenshot each category if there is no export.
- Customer list: names, emails, and phone numbers, as a file you control.
- Order history: the last 12 months at least, for taxes, refunds, and your best sellers.
- Hours, delivery zones, and fees: the radius, minimums, and prices you set.
- Reservations and promo codes: list any booking you've taken for dates after April, and every code still in use.
- Payment setup: note which gateway your card payments run through, so you can keep it or move it.
- Order button: note every page on your website that carries the GloriaFood widget, because each one breaks on April 30.
Move before April, with both setups running
GloriaFood keeps taking orders through April 30, 2027. Oracle says it remains committed to supporting existing customers through that date. So build the new setup beside the old one, test it with a real order, and swap the button last. A restaurant that waits for April finds out about a missing modifier on the day orders stop.
- Week one: finish the export above and store it in two places.
- Week two: build the new storefront and place a test order yourself.
- Week three: replace the GloriaFood button on your website and tell your regulars where to order.
- After that: leave GloriaFood running as a backup until the last day.
Find every link and QR code that points at GloriaFood
The website button is only one place guests find your GloriaFood order page. Walk through everything a guest touches, because a dead link on April 30 looks like a closed restaurant. On Appetier, the live menu also becomes a print-ready PDF with a QR table tent, so printed menus are easy to replace. Print and test the QR code with your own phone before it goes on a table.
- Google Business Profile: the order and menu links.
- Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok bios and buttons.
- Printed menus, table tents, and window stickers with a QR code.
- Email signatures, receipts, and old newsletters that carry the link.
What a month costs on GloriaFood and on Appetier
GloriaFood's ordering widget is free, but taking cards online needs its $29 a month payment connector. The restaurant brings its own gateway, and the pages we read print no card rate. Appetier's monthly fee follows that month's direct sales per location, so here is the same restaurant at four sales levels. We read GloriaFood's pricing page on October 19, 2026.
- A month under $500 in direct sales: GloriaFood $29, Appetier $0.
- At $1,000: GloriaFood $29, Appetier $29. Even.
- At $2,000: GloriaFood $29, Appetier $79.
- At $10,000 and up: GloriaFood $29, Appetier $199, which is the cap.
GloriaFood's $29 is cheaper above $1,000, and it ends in April
We won't pretend the table flatters us. Above $1,000 in monthly sales, GloriaFood's connector costs less than our fee, because the $29 buys the card connector and nothing else. The next section adds up the rest of what GloriaFood sells. And in May, the $29 buys nothing at all.
- Card fees are separate on both sides: Appetier Pay at 2.9% + 30¢ online, or any PCI compliant processor you keep.
- GloriaFood leaves the gateway and its rate to you.
- Appetier's fee never passes $199 a location, and no order carries a commission.
GloriaFood with the same features costs about $165 a month
The band table sets a $29 connector against a full storefront, which flatters GloriaFood. To match what Growth includes, you buy GloriaFood's modules too. These are the list prices on its pricing page and its alternative page, read on October 19, 2026.
- Card payments connector: $29 a month.
- Promo marketing: $19 a month.
- Website and SEO module: $9 a month.
- Branded mobile apps: $59 a month.
- Oracle POS: $49 a month per location, on a two-year commitment.
- Total: about $165 a month, before your gateway's card rate.
The $165 still leaves out the AI, the sync, and the waitlist
GloriaFood includes 4 of Appetier's 19 Growth features in its price. Fully loaded, its pages list no AI agent that does work for you, no AI phone ordering, and no sync with a POS you already use. They list no waitlist, and table deposits cost $0.50 a guest. Growth includes Sous, AI phone answering with 1,000 minutes a month, POS sync with Square, Toast, and Clover, and a waitlist. Past $3,000 a month in sales, our $199 cap costs more than $165, and we'd rather say so. The $165 also ends on April 30, 2027.
Switching to Appetier: commission-free and live in minutes
Live in minutes from a photo of your menu. No migration project. Upload your logo and the photo in the console. Appetier styles the storefront from your logo colors and reads the menu off the photo, and you check the draft before anything goes live. A first location can be live in minutes. Publishing also needs a saved card, which verifies you and moves no money, one priced item, and a location set up to sell. There is no setup fee.
- No commission on direct orders, and no fee on the guest's bill.
- A month under $500 in direct sales costs $0. We earn after you do.
- POS and kiosk come with Growth. Connecting your own POS is optional.
- Keep your current website. Paste the Appetier menu and order button where the GloriaFood widget sat, and payment opens your storefront in a new tab.
What carries over from GloriaFood, and what doesn't
Appetier has no GloriaFood importer, and we won't promise one. The menu comes from a photo or a PDF, so a clean screenshot of your exported menu works. You set hours, prices, and delivery rules in the console. Your exported customer list and order history stay in your files. Guests who order on your new page are saved to your records from their first order.
- Carries over by photo or PDF: items, prices, and descriptions, which you check before publishing.
- Set again by you: hours, delivery rules, and your website button.
- Stays in your exports: GloriaFood's customer file and order history.
If you pick someone else, ask for the fee at your own sales
Plenty of vendors will court GloriaFood owners this winter, and some of them are good. Ask each one for the monthly fee, any fee per order or guest fee, and the card rate at your own last month of direct sales, in writing. Our nine-system comparison shows the arithmetic, and the alternatives page for GloriaFood ranks the options by what a month costs.
